We are all animals.

Vegan Chicago is the oldest and largest vegan meetup! Established in 2003 we're run by a group of long time local vegan animal rights activists. Our goal for Vegan Chicago is to provide a support group for those looking to align their belief that non-human animals deserve consideration by refusing to support the exploitation of animals in their own lives. The foundational belief is that discrimination against animals on the basis of species is unfair. It is an idea that is permeating our culture and we see our members as pioneers in this movement.

That being said we do not believe that vegan purity is the goal here. We welcome all who are interested and we will not judge you for what animal products you may currently use.  As a social group we endeavor to support our members in this regard by providing social and informational type of events. 

Please note that we are a secular group that espouses a science based and rational approach with a positive attitude.
