The average person eats about 35 farm animals per year, adding up to thousands in a lifetime. Leafleting with literature on factory farming has been shown to be effective in creating new vegans and vegetarians, and convincing others to reduce their consumption of animal products. By educating the public about animals suffering on factory farms we can inspire others to spare thousands, if not millions of animals, and ultimately work towards the end of exploitation. Join us!
For more information on this event, please contact Mikael. An RSVP is not required, but it will help us determine the correct number of leaflets to bring. We will also notify you if we have to cancel the event due to bad weather. We will be out there for about 1 1/2 hours.
If this is your first time leafleting, you can keep it at whatever level you want. You can jump right in and secure your own street corner, but we also need people to hold our signs or you can leaflet directly with one of the experienced members until you feel comfortable.

“ This was my second time leafletting, my first time was at the Millenium Station last week. In comparison, there was definitely a lot less traffic but people were more willing to ask questions. This one guy came up to me and said he's aware of the cruelty and cannot bear seeing the pictures but I need to find him something that tastes like a cow...so I challenged him to go to the Diner and try something...I bought take-out from the diner for a non-veg friend last week and she didn't even know it was a vegan sandwich! So I hope it works out for him. Anyways...I think I passed out half as many leaflets today but I'm hopeful. ”
