Millions of animals are killed every year to serve the bloody market for fur. Barbaric, steel-jaw traps leave them languishing and suffering for days; some chew their own legs off in order to escape. On fur farms, they are confined in tiny, filthy wire cages and denied opportunity to engage in natural behaviors. Slaughter methods include neck stomping, anal electrocution, and bludgeoning. Some ?wake up? while being skinned alive.
The annual rally to protest the horrors of the fur industry is traditionally on the Friday after Thanksgiving, the busiest shopping day of the year. It will go through Chicago's main shopping district, the Loop and Michigan Ave., and will make stops at fur stores.
Every person counts. We hope you will come to the rally and make your voice heard against this cruel and unjustified industry!
