The highly anticipated Chicago VeganMania is happening again this year, Sat. Oct. 9 from 10:00 - 6:00, Pulaski Park Fieldhouse, 1419 W. Blackhawk. There will be amazing speakers (including Colleen Patrick-Goudreau [The Joy of Vegan Baking and Compassionate Cooks podcast], Carol Adams [The Sexual Politics of Meat], Dr. Michael Greger [HSUS], Nathan Runkle [Mercy for Animals] and more), fantastic cooking demos (with Isa Chandra Moskowitz [Veganomicon and Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World], Linda Szarkowski [Green Spirit], Kelly Peloza [cookies!], and amazing chefs from The Chicago Diner and Soul Vegetarian East. In addition great musical acts like The Giving Tree Band, Nikki Lynette and the Rust Belt Ramblers, lots of fantastic food (this year the food vendors will be prepared for the volume) and dozens of great, cruelty-free vendors. Plus a Luxury Lounge with DJ Veganinblack and comfortable place to relax and enjoy coffee, a children's play area with vegan cookie decorating, a little stage and a graffiti wall, and so much more! Even visits by the Vegan Cupcake Fairies have been promised! You must be there. It is a friendly, welcoming place for all, so feel free to bring your favorite omnivores. Afterwards, a party sponsored by Mercy For Animals at the Funky Buddha Lounge. The first 100 in like age 16 and older get a free vegan swag bag, too! Join us.
Last, if you are interested in volunteering, that would be so appreciated. We have to do a lot of work to put on a great show. Please volunteer for a short shift and add your special talents! Email Karen at cvmvolunteers at gmail.com.
[Please note: Vegan Chicago is not affiliated with this event, we are just posting this to our calendar to help promote]
