Well, believe it or not VOT'ers, Winter is ALMOST OVER!! Despite that fact, it's still pretty damn cold AND SNOWY!!! So we're heading to a bar where the drinks are also cold, but where the fire is guaranteed to warm all our frosty parts.

Black Rock has a couple of drink specials on Fridays that I guess are worth mentioning for you vodka and Coors Light fans: $5 Sweet Tea Vodka Lemonades and $12 Coors Light Buckets. They also have a very well-stocked bar if those specials don't make your liver go pitter-patter.

The back room at Black Rock has a decent pool table (for you sharks). And it also has a couple of comfy couches, which I'm hoping to commandeer since we're getting there pretty early. There's a pretty nice huge-screen TV back there, too.

And I'll mention this again...even if you're not a drinker, you're more than welcome to join us at all our VOT events. Vegan On Tap is all about getting together and enjoying each other's company while relaxing and having fun. For some that will involve a drink, or two, or three, etc.. For others, it won't. It's all good!

Black Rock is located in the Roscoe Village Neighborhood -- on Damen Ave, just north of Addison Ave.

If you're taking the L, the Addison Brown Line stop will put you a couple of short blocks east of the bar.

If you're taking the bus...
