My b/f and I tried to call Delisi's all weekend, and no one ever answered. Plus, their website links no longer work. PLEASE tell me they didn't close?!

I don't know much about this, but I heard that they are closed temporarily due to a licensing issue.

Ohhh, No! I was just planning to take ChicagoVeg (www.ChicagoVeg.org) there in the next couple months.

I was also planning and hoping to try Delisi's this weekend, and after numerous failed attempts to reach them to order via phone, drove over. It was indeed closed, with a handwritten sign on the door explaining that they had been closed by the State of Illinois due to licensing or registration issues-- with assurances that it was in no way related to anything Health Department related, and that they were working diligently to correct the issue and reopen.

I guess that the state doesn't need the revenue. It's easier to raise taxes on the citizens.

FYI they're getting all their permits in order and should be reopening soon.

I guess that the state doesn't need the revenue. It's easier to raise taxes on the citizens. It seems like they are not interested in revenue at all but rather play political games, as well as promote bribery by enforcing different type of permits and multiplying bureaucracy. IT MAKES ME SO MAD! It was a big reason I decided to leave Russia because I did not want to deal with all the corruption and stuff like that. Thanks G-d it's somewhat less in the U.S. Anyway, I am looking forward to when they will re-open. If anyone will be kind enough to notify me at chicagoveg.org/suggestion/ when they will open again I will really appreciate it. Edited by Dave Dandelion on Mar 8, 2010 12:13 PM |
