I just got the following message from Nick H. Kamboj at Standard India Restaurant which is just by the Belmont Red/Brown CTA stop. I haven't been there in a while, but I thought I would pass on the info to you all:
Thank you for your review. We very much value customer feedback, as it validates how we are doing. I do not know if you have been back since your review; however, we have revisited everything (aesthetics, recipes and service delivery) since our father's passing in October of 2009. I invite you back to the restaurant to experience the changes that we have made. I believe that your next visit will be just as, if not more positive than your prior one. In addition, we have expended much effort in the visual display of the food as well as the description of all the entrees, so that anyone unfamiliar with the cuisine or any person with specific dietary preferences, such as veganism can be well informed of our offerings. We presently offer 17 buffet items, (8 Vegan offerings, 3 Non-Vegetarian offerings and 6 Vegetarian offerings), and will be re-introducing our cold salad bar (shredded lettuce, onions, tomatoes and cucumbers) shortly. Of course, these offerings are always complimented with our assortment of 4 chutneys (Pudina, Tamarind, Raita and Mirch Masala). Cheers, Nick H. Kamboj |
