Well hello there, I am visiting Chicago tonight until Monday for lollapalooza. I am a vegan and have never visited Chicago before. Is there a list of restaurants that are vegan/vegetarian friendly on this site or any others? Thanks for the help. I will be staying downtown Saturday and Sunday. A bit north of downtown today and tomorrow.

Whole Foods Lincoln Park also has vegan pizza! It's not downtown near the festival, but not too far via train.

The River Forest WF just started selling the Tofurky Vegan Pizzas yesterday made with Daiya cheese- of course, they are frozen so you need to find yourself an oven though! LOL! If you are staying at a hotel, the kitchen might bake it for you.
Yeah, you would think Chi-town would have a few pizza places that had vegan pizza already - but no, not yet! Home of the Deep Dish - yeah, what's wrong with us??? :) Milwaukee has several places that have awesome vegan pizza though. |

Thanks for the help. I'll have to check out karyns. Austin has like 4 or 5 places with vegan pizza. I'm suprised Chicago wouldn't. :-(. Oh well, I love the city so far! The festival is great!

The Vegan Pizza and whole foods is pretty good. I wish there was a place that delivered one though.
